Keruo Channel dive site (also sometimes called Fam Wall) is located on the east side of Keruo Island, in the channel that runs between Keruo and Keruwo islands in the Penemu area of Raja Ampat.
This site is known for a reliable drift dive, where you can float along past many walls and slopes covering much ground in a single dive.
Visibility is moderate at around 15 meters most times, and the site is recommended for intermediate to experienced divers due to the sometimes-strong currents through the channel.
Some of the marine life we often see at this site are pygmy seahorse, barracuda, black tip sharks, midnight snappers, angelfish, spade fish, hawkfish, jackfish, soldier fish, manta rays, Giant Trevally, octopus, Phyllidia Carlsonhoffi Nudibranch, Green Turtles, Moray Eels and Wrasse.
This site can be dived in either direction depending on the current on the day and is a pretty straight forward dive given it’s one long wall broken up with some steep slopes on the dive.
On a falling tide we will start at the north end and keep the reef on our right, on a rising tide we will start at the south end and keep the reef on our left, both times drifting with the current. The shallows at either end of the reef are also very nice for some natural light photos and a pleasant safety stop at 5 meters at the end of the dive.
