Payments

Payments

La Galigo can recieve payments in the following currencies, AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, IDR. Due to La Galigo operating from Indonesia we are required to calculate all rates based on the IDR on the day of the invoice to be sent out if you require other currencies.

Payments onboard can be accepted in USD, IDR, if you require an alternative currency please confirm with La Galigo prior to your trip.

If a booking request is made prior to 181 days before the date of embarkation, a 10% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. In this scenario, a following 15% deposit will be required 180 days prior to the date of embarkation, followed by a final payment of 75% 60 days prior to your trip.

If a booking request is made between 180 – 61 days prior to the date of embarkation, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required, with final 75% payment to be made 60 days prior to your trip.

Final payment is due 60 days before the date of La Galigo cruise departure. If payments are not made in the periods required, La Galigo reserves the right to refuse the services contracted, retain the money paid as deposits, and resell the excursion. In the case where a reservation is made less than 61 days before the departure date, the total amount must be paid at the time of reservation. All deposits and full balance payments are non-refundable.

Cancellations

In the case of a cancellation after the charter has been confirmed, firstly, La Galigo booking office or your agent must be informed by phone or email (signed then scanned document via email or fax is acceptable). To determine the date of cancellation, the following business date of the signed fax or email will be used as the specific cancellation date, no refunds will be given.

If for any particular reason a passenger cannot travel for the voyage reserved, the reservation may be transferred to another person. La Galigo must be informed as soon as possible and with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice before the scheduled date, including the reason, all information about the replacement passenger provided. An administration fee will be applied. 

The replacement passenger must respect all conditions of the contract and La Galigo cannot in any way be held responsible for any expenses or changes outside of the cruise (Hotels, flights etc.) A new contract will be established with the replacing customer in the shortest timeframe possible. All conditions of the contract must be respected including passport validity, dive certification (unless non- diver), medical certificate etc. All documents need to be signed and the balance of the cruise paid.

We use transfer wise as a back up to our Indonesian Bank Account, very few banks here in Indonesia are able to accept payments from overseas, They require 3dsecure to be setup via your bank in order to use and make the transaction. Transfer Wise links directly to our Indonesian account and it is super easy to use. There is also no need to register and the transfer fees are a lot lower than that of a credit card or bank transfer, and even PayPal.

We also have a paypal account that we are happy for you to use, in the instance that the other accounts do not work. Paypal is accepted globally in every country.

Flexible Booking

To provide you with more flexibility in case you are unable to travel due to Covid-19 related* restrictions we now provide Flexible Booking terms.

  • Refunds are available for all customers booking directly with La Galigo Liveaboard from 26/February/2021 for all trips published until 30/April/2022.
  • Refunds are only applicable when requested at least 60 days prior to your date of embarkation for your trip with La Galigo. Where possible, guests will be offered the opportunity to reschedule their trip for another time when it is more convenient for both / either parties. There may be charges incurred for rescheduling such as increased park fees & alterations to the published price which are the full responsibility of the guest(s).
  • Associated fees such as bank transaction costs & transaction suppliers (TransferWise / PayPal) fees are non-refundable and are the sole responsibility of the guest(s). La Galigo hold no responsibility for losses incurred using such services.
  • La Galigo hold no responsibility for any losses incurred for other relevant services, including, but not limited to; Travel Expenses / Flights / Insurance / Visas
  • The total amount of the refund may be affected due to exchange fluctuations, and this will be communicated to the guest, by La Galigo, at the time of the refund request.
  • In the case of rescheduling (flexible booking), your booking may NOT be used in conjunction with other promotions that La Galigo may be utilising in future for any of their publicised trips.

**Rescheduling is subject to availability. Rescheduled trips must be of equal or lesser value. Should the rescheduled trip be of lesser value, there will be no partial refunds.
