Raja Ampat is amazing! Beautiful healthy coral, lot’s of schooling of fishes of all sizes, from tiny bobtail squids, cuttlefishes, nudis, pigmy seahorses, all the way to huge mantas, lobsters and even a crocodile we saw (safely from the boat). The team did their best to make our visit there as productive, safe and relaxing as possible. We saw and experienced everything we expected, and some things we didn’t expect. Our dive guide was very experienced and safe (kept divers safe from currents and kept coral safe from divers). The cabin had AC, and a private toilet/shower, which was great, but it also had cockroaches that we found on our pillow or at midnight when it landed in a leg, and the one day that rained (we had great weather), some small water leaks in our bed. Note we visited near the end of the season (boat will go to drydock in a few weeks for fixing), and we saw the leaks had been attempted to be patched (partially successfully) already, and when we saw a couple of cockroaches in the dinning area, the crew immediately killed them.
